Green Measures in Our Operation

Our cargo handling creates vital opportunities, welfare and jobs. Unfortunately, it also results in CO₂ emission and consumes energy resources. For now, that is still inevitable. But we can handle cargo as clean as possible.

As a join-venture company, we make profit for shareholders and contribute to local economy. It’s also our responsibility to make efforts for reduction of CO₂ emission and less energy consumption.

We have already taken the following measures to reduce our environmental impact and will continue to do so in the future.

1. The designing of our warehouse had taken less energy consumption into consideration with a very efficient aeration system which can bring fresh air into warehouse and take turbid air out continuously to make good environmental condition for our warehouse staff. Especially at our latest Terminal 3, the roof of warehouse was equipped with many small windows can introduce sunlight into operation site. Therefore we can save a lot of energy for illumination.  In addition, we used environmental materials as much as possible in the construction of our warehouse and office building, which also can save electricity costs for temperature control.

2. For office illumination, all departments can control their own energy saving lamps respectively. That means the lights are only on during the working hours. Our office air condition system is combined of central air conditioning and individually controlled air conditioning. Above measures can reduce energy consumption as well as save costs.

3. In order to reduce CO₂ emission, we equipped our trucks and forklifts with tail gas cleanup units, the device is also capable to reduce other harmful gas. Furthermore we scientifically plan and arrange the routes for our trucks and forklifts so fuel can be saved and efficiency is improved.

4. We also take other measures to use less resources, for instance, several departments share one copycat and try our best to reduce the use of paper as well as print out documents by two sides of paper, etc.

 Our management is very open for good suggestions and Green Ideas from our staff to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emission.
